Deframer pricing explained: credits, packs or the lifetime deal

How Deframer pricing works: free conversions, 1 credit per verified download, packs of 1, 5 or 30 credits, and when the $397 lifetime deal pays for itself.

Deframer charges only when you download code: converting a Framer site is free, a verified download costs 1 credit, and a download without site verification costs 10 credits. Credits come in packs of 1 for $10, 5 for $25 or 30 for $100, paid once, and never expire. The lifetime deal is $397 once and makes every verified download free. If you'll download fewer than about 40 projects over the time you use Deframer, packs cost less; around 120 or more, the lifetime deal wins even against the Studio pack.

The rest of this post explains what a "download" is, the break-even math, and which option fits a solo owner, a freelancer and an agency. Prices come from the pricing page, which is the source of truth if they change. Deframer is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Framer.

What counts as one project?

Every conversion is its own project. Converting the same published version with the same options within 30 minutes returns the same project, so you don't pay twice for a double click. But if you republish your Framer site and convert again, that's a new project, and downloading it uses another credit. This matters for the math: a site you convert once costs one download; a site you keep designing in Framer and re-export after each change costs one download per export.

A downloaded project stays available for 7 days after the conversion finishes. Download it in that window and keep the .zip; after that, convert again for free and download the new project.

What is site verification?

Verification is how Deframer checks that a site is yours before handing over its code. You publish a one-line meta tag (your personal code) in the site's Custom Code, and Deframer looks for it on the live page. Verifying Framer site ownership has the steps. Verified downloads cost 1 credit. If you can't publish the tag, you can confirm you own the site or have the owner's permission and download for 10 credits instead. Either way, Deframer is only for your own sites or sites whose owner allows it.

Packs are paid once, not monthly. Credits never expire, so buying the larger pack early costs nothing extra over time; you just hold the credits. Checkout is handled by Whop, which adds sales tax or VAT where it applies. Credits are delivered the moment you pay, which is why they aren't refundable once bought; the refund policy covers the exceptions, such as charges that should never have happened.

The lifetime deal

The lifetime deal is one payment of $397. After it, every verified download is free, for as long as Deframer runs. It grants no credits, so two things still use credits:

  • Downloads without verification still cost 10 credits each.
  • Site protection is still 10 credits per site.

If you always verify, which you can whenever you can publish to the site or ask its owner to, the lifetime deal covers all your downloads.

Break-even math

Here's how many verified downloads the lifetime deal equals at each pack's price per credit:

Compared with

Downloads that cost $397

Single packs

$10.00

about 40

Starter packs

$5.00

about 79

Studio packs

about $3.33

about 119

Four Studio packs cost $400 and give 120 credits, so a heavy user who'd buy Studio packs anyway reaches lifetime-level spend at 120 verified downloads. Someone who'd buy Starter packs reaches it at about 80, and someone buying single credits at about 40.

Worked examples

These are arithmetic for typical situations, not predictions.

One site, converted once. A founder moves their own site off Framer and keeps working in code. One verified download: one Single pack, $10. The lifetime deal makes no sense here.

One site, re-exported every month. A team keeps designing in Framer and re-converts monthly to keep a code copy in Git. That's 12 downloads a year. Two Starter packs ($50) cover 10, plus two Singles ($20): $70 a year. Or a Studio pack ($100) covers 30 downloads, two and a half years. Lifetime would take years to pay back.

A freelancer with a few clients. Five client sites, each converted once, then each refreshed twice a year: 5 + 10 = 15 downloads in year one. A Studio pack ($100) covers two years of that. Lifetime pays back if the client list grows or you keep working this way for several years.

An agency moving many sites. Twenty client sites converted, then each refreshed quarterly: 20 + 80 = 100 downloads in year one. That's three Studio packs plus two Starter packs ($350) in year one, and about $300 a year after that (three Studio packs cover 90 credits). The lifetime deal ($397) costs a little more than year one in packs, pays back early in the second year, and every verified download after that is free.

Which should you buy?

You are

Likely best option

Moving your own site once

Single pack

Moving a site and re-exporting a few times

Starter pack

A freelancer or small studio with several sites

Studio pack

An agency or anyone re-exporting many sites over years

Lifetime deal

Someone who can't verify sites (direct downloads)

Packs: lifetime doesn't cover direct downloads

If you're unsure, start with a pack. Credits never expire, so they aren't wasted if you buy the lifetime deal later.

Things people ask before buying

  • Is there a subscription? No. Packs and the lifetime deal are one-time payments.
  • Does a framework choice change the price? No. Next.js, TanStack Start, Astro, React Router and Vite cost the same. Converting the same site to another framework is free; downloading that project is another download.
  • Does the asset option change the price? No. "Assets on Framer's CDN" and "Assets in the project" cost the same.
  • What about agencies converting client sites? The client publishes your verification code on their site, which proves their permission. The agency workflow covers it.

FAQ

Is Deframer free?

Converting, reviewing and comparing are free. Downloading the code costs 1 credit per project with site verification, or 10 without. What's actually free goes into detail.

Do Deframer credits expire?

No. Credits never expire, and a failed conversion doesn't use any.

What does the lifetime deal include?

Every verified download, free, for as long as Deframer runs, for a single $397 payment. It doesn't include downloads without verification (10 credits each) or site protection, which are paid with credits.

Do I pay again if I re-download a project?

No. Downloading the same project again is free while it's available. Converting a republished site creates a new project, and downloading that one uses a credit (or nothing with the lifetime deal, if verified).

Can I get a refund on credits?

Credits are delivered when you pay and aren't refundable once bought. Converting is free, so you can check the result before spending anything. See the refund policy for when a payment is refunded.
